About the Eukanuba National Championship.

This is an exclusive dog show which is by invitation only.  If you want your dog to be a participant, check for the qualification process at the official website of AKC. Keep in mind that the Eukanuba National Championship sends invites only to the best 25 dogs of each breed from across the USA.

Started in 2001, the first venue for the show was Orlando, Florida, but since then it has been organized in several American states.

• 2006 was a year which saw two winners as The Eukanuba Dog Show was held twice that year.
• The best in show is awarded with grand prize money. Last year’s winner, Sky – a Wire Fox Terrier, seized a whopping winning amount of $50,000 USDs.
• Although beauty, friendliness, obedience, agility, sturdiness are the major parameters to judge dogs, there are awards for their heroic acts as well. Known as AKC Humane Fund Award, this reward is for a few excellent dogs that emerged as true Heroes and played crucial role in strengthening societal security.
